Ministry Staff

ANDREW AUKEMA | Pastor

I began at Inglewood CRC in August 2021 after previously serving as a Pastor in Prince George, BC for nine years. I love the vision of Inglewood CRC and its emphasis on discipleship and being a tangible presence of Christ in the Inglewood neighborhood.  I grew up in Chatham, Ontario, and have studied at the University of Windsor (BA) and Regent College (MDiv). I am married to Miriam, and we live relatively close to the church with our four children.  We love going to parks with the family, bike rides, a good cup of coffee, the church, and getting to know people over a meal.  We are convicted yet compelled by the way of Jesus because of the gift of amazing grace, and the call to a beautiful life of compassion, hospitality, and counter-cultural discipleship.

ANDREW WHITESIDE | Worship Service Coordinator

I was born in Richmond B.C. and grew up attending Richmond Presbyterian Church. I began playing on worship teams when I was thirteen years old and enjoy praising God through the ministry of music. I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Trinity Western University in Langley B.C. and graduated in 2022. I participated in various choirs, orchestra, concert bands, and the University’s Sunday Night Alive worship ministry. In 2021 I moved to Edmonton to pursue a Masters in Music in Choral Conducting which I completed in April 2023. Currently I sing with ProCoro Canada, Edmonton’s Professional Choir and conduct the University of Alberta Opera Theatre program. I began working at Inglewood CRC as the Worship Service Coordinator in September of 2023.

KAREN ANSINK | Church Administrator

As a long term member of Inglewood CRC, it is my pleasure to work as the Church Administrator. When I began this position in May 2022, I had no idea what I was stepping into. This job has allowed me to get to know the members of ICRC in a deeper way, and it’s shown me how many good things are happening here behind the scenes. I graduated from Calvin University with a Bachelor of Social Work and in my various positions since then have always loved the people aspect of every job and that continues here at Inglewood.

DANIEL CHOI | Pastoral Intern

Daniel Choi is a Canadian-Korean born in Edmonton, who grew up in Prince George. During his time in Prince George, he met Pastor Andrew Aukema and felt a call into pastoral ministry. Daniel completed his BA at King’s University. After finishing his MDiv at Regent College in Vancouver, Daniel moved to Edmonton to serve as a pastoral intern. Daniel’s passion for the Church is to build relationships that go beyond meeting in the service and to share whole lives together. Daniel’s internship mostly involves leading youth and young adult ministries, regular preaching, and generally getting a broad experience of ministry in the Church. When Daniel is not in Church, he likes to cook, make coffee, or play badminton (when the weather is cooperating). Feel free to ask him what the most recent meal was. It was likely Korean.
