Winter Retreat - Canmore / Banff, AB

This update is strickly about the upcoming Winter Retreat to Canmore /Banff on March 14-16, 2014.  I have put a waiver on the church website.  The cost this year is $135 per person, which covers transportation, hotel & food (except for Saturday lunch).  If you are planning on attending the Winter Retreat this year, please fill out a form and submit it to the church office with a check made out to Inglewood Christian Reformed Church.

We are returning to Blackstone Mountain Lodge this year.  Please note that the hotel does have a heated pool & hot tubs.  The options this year will be similar to past years, and like past years you must participate in one of the options.  There will be a group that will Ski / Snowboard at Sunshine Mountain ($65); a group will be heading to horseback Riding ($35); and a group will be be snowshoeing ($10).  Saturday afternoon will be open for the snow shoers and horseback riders to head into Banff to walk around the village.

Travel plans are also similar to last year.  We have some parents and volunteers driving vans to and from Canmore again.  Due to the cost of the coach and in order to taxi students to multiple activities, mini vans make more sense.  We will leave from McQueen Hall at 5:30 pm on Friday and return at about the same time on Sunday.  If you would like to attend this year, please contact Geoff to get put on the list.  Parents and volunteers are requested to pay $65 this year to cut down costs (unless you plan to drive your own vehicle - ICRC will still pay for gas).

If you have any questions about this years retreat - please don't hesitate to call Geoff at the church office or send an email to vandekuyt@mac.com.  Also, if there are any dietary requests, please make that made known with an email.
